Update on Us!

Hello everyone, this is Mercedes here. I wanted to check in with our loyal readers and update you on our whereabouts.

Things have definitely been happening for us. On Monday we were whisked off to the veterinarian's office. We received all of our shots and a flea treatment. We even got our nails clipped! It was weird to see so many dogs in one spot. But we enjoyed the attention.

Then after that, we took a long car ride to a place called Michigan. You see, we're in foster homes now. Max is at a loving home with two kids and another dog. If things work out, they'll be his "furrever" home. Word on the street is that they took him to the groomers and got him all pretty. He seems to love the two kids and was literally eating out of their hands.

As for me, I'm in a home with my new friends Kim and Garrett. They are really nice and have been taking good care of me. Rocky the Dog has been sharing his toys, beds and food with me. There are two cats around and I watch them from time to time, but I do not bother them. They're just interesting for me to see. I've also been started on a new medicine for my hip called Meloxicam. It can be purchased for $12 for a 2 month supply.

I am writing because while Max has potentially found his forever home, I'm still looking for mine. While Kim and Garrett are great, their place is a bit cramped for me. I'm a big girl, full of friendliness. I need a bit more room to roam. So if you have a little extra space and a lot of extra love, consider giving Kim a holler at kimsaks86@gmail.com. We'd love to hear from you.

I've posted some extra pics for your looking pleasure. Keep us in your prayers. We're still adjusting to our new surroundings and we'd love your positive vibes. You've kept us going thus far.

Love always,
Mercedes

Time is Running Out for Us!!!

Hey everyone, it's Max. I wanted to give you an update about us. We're surviving day-to-day. Thankfully we have some good human friends who are looking out for us.

But that's just for the time being.

See, these humans can't take us into their homes due to allergies and other reasons. So we're still looking for our forever home (Mercedes calls this our "furever" home...I think that's silly). We're ready to warm up your home and heart with love. But we can't do it on our own.

So if you're interested in adopting us, please contact our friend Kim at kimsaks86@gmail.com. We'd be ever so grateful.

Hugs and kisses!
Max and Mercedes

Have You Ever Wanted a Dog? Why Not Two?

That's what Max and I say, anyhow.

This is Mercedes. We've noticed the weather has been getting nicer out and warmer and we're longing for a family with which to share nice weather (and bad weather, too).

Here are a few more pics of us for your viewing pleasure.

Our Trip Home

Hello world! We're Max and Mercedes. We're two lovable mutts who have run into a bit of a jam. See we were living the life with our human mom here in Cleveland, Ohio when she suddenly passed away. We miss her every day of our lives. She was a good mom to us and cared deeply for us.

Now our big sister, Maria, and her friend Kim are helping us with this website to find a new home. That's why it's called "Our Trip Home." We know it won't be an easy journey, but we're ready to make it. We made our Mama's life happy and we know we can do that for another family.

Max is a boxer mix. Even at eight years old, he still has a lot of bounce in his step and life in his bones. He's playful and fun, but still great around children and cats.

Mercedes is a Rottweiler mix. She's the calmer of the two of us and likes to live the good life. Like Max, she's good with children and cats.

Though we know times are tough, we'd prefer a home together. We're best friends! We're practically attached at the hip. We could make your home a wonderful place with lots of love to share.

If you have a home for us, or know of someone who does, please contact our friend Kim at kimsaks86@gmail.com.

Big slobbery hugs and kisses!!!
Max and Mercedes
